Black Velvet Paintings

These small pieces start as gesture paintings and drawings, which then become works with light. They use different shapes, colors, and sizes of LEDs, that I have been collecting over many years for their rare beauty, embedded in black flocked paper that resembles velvet. They are powered by spare batteries made for cell phones, rechargeable by USB cables.
